When stored energy alone is not the optimal solution, Caylora can integrate modular generation into the power platform to provide primary, supplemental, standby, or emergency capacity.
Generator systems can be configured around the customer's load profile, operating duration, fuel availability, redundancy requirements, environmental considerations, and site infrastructure. Depending on the application, generation can operate independently or as part of a hybrid system with Mobile BESS.
Caylora's team has experience developing large natural-gas generation facilities using modular generator systems, including evaluation of generator configurations, natural-gas supply, fuel treatment and pressure requirements, consumption, transformers, switchgear, controls, emissions, permitting, and phased generation capacity matched to customer demand.
Primary, Standby or Hybrid

Generation does not have to be an all-or-nothing solution. Caylora can design systems where generators serve as:

Primary Power — providing continuous generation where utility capacity is unavailable or insufficient.

Standby Power — remaining ready to operate if the primary electrical source becomes unavailable.

Supplemental Power — adding generation during periods of increased demand or constrained utility capacity.
BESS Charging Power - generating energy at a centralized location that can then be stored in Mobile BESS and transported to the customer's site.
Hybrid Power — combining generators with BESS so batteries respond rapidly to changing loads, absorb transient demand, and allow generators to operate closer to efficient loading ranges.
The Caylora BESS proposal specifically evaluates propane/CNG generation as an independent primary or standby charging source and describes integrating generation, gas storage, transformers, switchgear, controls, telemetry, and BESS charging interfaces into one operating system.
Built for Resiliency
Generator capacity can also provide an independent layer of redundancy when utility or third-party power is interrupted. Instead of designing every project around a single source of electricity, Caylora can combine utility or host power, stored energy, and generation to create multiple paths to continued operation.
In the attached Caylora proposal, for example, the preferred risk-adjusted configuration combined a primary Host Power charging location with standby gas generation, specifically to balance uptime, cost, implementation certainty, and operational redundancy.
